Gregorian Calendar event

An annual galactic ceremony of shedding the past and preparing for the new. I do have to say that personally, I tend to need more of examining the past in order to get my footing straight for whatever is coming.
More power to reflecting.

Mirror does reflecting.

Some key realizations for this 2017 revolution around the sun:
1. You need to leave in order to come back.
2. Captain's sudden death helped me understand love.
3. Italy is everything I've hoped for and more.
4. All is separate sides of the same coin.
5. I have anxiety.

Looking ahead (as well as behind) to this new set of year.

Onwards!... and inwards!

Death and Net Neutrality

I just don't think I can live in this type of place any longer.

Fractal Masterpiece

During my 3 week business trip in Dubai, I had a chance to visit Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Sure, I'll be a snob and admit that the artwork was basic at best. The stuff in there was Art 101.

But the structure of the museum ... That was in and of itself the main spectacle of the show.
From the visionary architect Jean Nouvel the Dome of the museum had me stunned and in absolute awe of the UFO-like, otherworldly atmosphere of the place.

As described in his own words:
"A double dome 180 meters in diameter, offering horizontal, perfectly radiating geometry, a randomly perforated woven material, providing shade punctuated by bursts of sun. The dome gleams in the Abu Dhabi sunshine."

It's one of the most inspiring works of art I've experienced.

What is a Monday?

Coming down from a "Weekend"
But aren't all end of weeks a beginning of another?
