Back in New York from a trip for work in Ohio.
Oberlin's icy branches and Brooklyn rain bring me to remember and love Brasil.

Pansy Cat

There are cats everywhere in Istanbul, making it one of the top choices of visit on my list. They are very small in size and super responsive to humans.
This one hanging out in the courtyard in front of the Blue Mosque.

Things we learned in school.

Ablution stations

Ablutions are required for Muslims before entering a mosque.
They wash their feet, hands and face with freezing water in the freezing cold. Dedication!

Turkey

Ancient land, Turkey!
The first Islamic country I visited. It's a very cool place.

It tastes like ramen, but in a crepe.
